The Dance of Autash

This film documents the 2018 firing of the wood kiln known as "Autash," which is roughly translated from Persian as "Fire." This kiln is an anagama-style kiln owned by Hadi Abbas, Professor of Ceramics at the University of Central Florida. This film includes exclusive footage taken directly inside the kiln where temperatures are above 2000 degrees F.
